Mobile fell in water. What to do?

Mobile fell in water???

Now a days , water and mobile are basic needs of our lives. Our lives have changed as we can live without water but can't without mobile. But what , if your basic needs get merged,i.e if your mobile fell in water.

Here are the few easy steps to save your mobile when it fell in water.

You should NOT DO:
  • Do not switch on or turn on.
  • Do not shake your mobile.
  • Do not blow air into the phone through ear phone and charging spaces. This could make the water spread through out the phone.
  • Do not heat the phone by using microwave ovens as it damages the sensible parts in mobile.
  • Do not press any keys.
  • Do not remove the phone internally apart of batter, sim and storage card.
Steps to follow to save your mobile:
  • Turn it off as soon as possible by removing battery, if it is ON.
  • Now remove the sim and memory card.
  • Use cotton cloth to rub and absorb the liquid or moisture present in the phone.
  • If you feel still there is moisture in the phone, you can use vacuum cleaner to remove moisture.

  • Now,bury the phone in a ziplock bag full of uncooked rice. You can also use box which it will not make enter air to bury the phone. Rice is great for absorbing liquid and this is actually a common method for drying smartphones and tablets.
  • Let your phone dry for 1 to 2 days. Do not switch ON to check whether it is working or not.
  • After a couple of days remove your phone from rice and switch it ON by inserting the battery.
  • If it does not turn on , charge the battery for at least one hour and then now switch ON the phone.
  • Even though if your phone does not start, replace the battery.
  • If again problem persists check the phone at mobile servicing center.
  • If the phone get on,check whether mic, speakers and touch screen are working properly.
In the future, avoid taking the phone with you when you go to the pool, use the bathroom.
